Soothing Salt Soak

We took this salt bath recipe from Gwenyth Paltrow's GOOP. It's a regular newsletter the actress pulls together with help from a wide variety of experts and features advice and ideas for mental and physical health, places to shop, travel and more. If you're interested in learning more or getting the newsletter yourself, check out goop.com.
The recipe for this salt bath comes from Adele Reising, an expert of Chinese medicine and home remiedies such as this. Adele says this salt bath is a healthy soak - providing minerals your body needs, the orange and lavendar help calm your nerves and release tension and the ginger warms your muscles and relieves pain, and the oil (or milk) acts as an emulsifying agent.
Here's what you need:
1 cup bath sea salt
1 tbsp almond oil or 2 tbsp whole milk
3 drops of sweet orange essential oil
3 drops of lavendar essential oil
1 - 2 drops of ginger essential oil
Mix together all of the ingredients and add to your next bath for a blissful bathing experience.

Easy Wall (or ceiling) Decor

We often have customers come in looking for decorating ideas for their walls. We recently came across this idea and we love it because it is easy and inexpensive. Best of all, you can coordinate this decorating idea into your own decor - it all depends on the fabric you use. Just find or buy embroidery hoops in a variety of sizes and outfit them in your fabrics of choice. We also love the idea of dangling the hoops from the ceiling!

Adorable Door Hang

This handmade item just arrived at homebodies! And it is too cute! This creative door hang comes from one of our crafty crafters. It features 2 parts: 1) the main board with the knob and 2) the interchangeable display. Right now we have a St. Paddy's hat for St. Patrick's Day (March 17) and a colorful carrot for Easter (April 4th). As new seasons and holidays get closer, we'll have new pieces to choose from. Can't wait to see them ourselves. Of course, we'll pass pictures along when the time comes.

The bags come in green, tan or white and make a great accessory for spring. They are priced at $11.99 each.

Dated Dresser Mirror Makes Great Headboard

I can't tell you how many times I've come across an old mirror like this... and never gave it a second thought until now. I think this is a great idea! Check out upcoming yard sales or thrift stores and you're sure to find an old dresser/vanity mirror like this. Cover in a fresh coat of paint and you have a chic headboard.
