Home Tours

It's always fun to look inside someone else's home to steal ideas for your own. Here's a link to see photographs of Martha Stewart's homes over the years, as well as 22 other home tours. Whew!
This photo is one of the featured homes... its minimal style is certainly not boring.

Decorating - Determining how much paint you need

This tip comes from Martha Stewart Living magazine... here's an easy way to calculate how much paint you'll need to paint a room....
you need one gallon for 450 square feet... to determine your wall area, multiply the height of each wall by its width (don't subtract for doors and windows unless they take up more than half the wall); add the figures for the walls and add 10% for future touch-ups. For two coats, just double your number. PS... this photo is from the HGTV 2009 green home... love this foyer because of its creative paint job!

Fall has arrived at homebodies!

It seems like summer just started... but it is past time for us to start putting out our fall items. We have lots of fun stuff to help your home change with the seasons... here are a few pictures of what we have now.. of course we'll be adding more throughout the coming months, especially
those Thanksgiving-inspired pieces.

Tooele's only Farmer's Market Kicks Off this weekend!

I love fresh, not-from-a-store produce... and since I don't grow my own garden, I rely on local gardeners... That's why I'm so excited that the area's only farmer's market kicks off this weekend at Benson Grist Mill. It will be held every Saturday through Oct. 10 from 8am to noon. Farmers and gardeners welcome--- craft booths will also be available starting in September. You can call 435-882-7678 for more information. Hope to see you there!
