St. Patrick's Day arrivals....

St. Patrick's Day never goes overlooked in my home... My great grandparents left Ireland to come to America, and my grandma, MaDean as we called her (her name was really Eldean), shared stories about her Irish family and made us proud of our ancestry. We never miss having corned beef and cabbage when March 17 rolls around...

Whether or not you're Irish, homebodies has lots of items to help you celebrate this festive holiday. We've posted just a few items here... but we have lots more to see at our store.

These adorable handmade pillows are from the creative mastermind of Melanie H. -- who sells her stitching and quilting patterns not only locally (at Sew Sweet- check out their link on the right side of our blog) but also internationally (she's a hit in Sweden). homebodies is very lucky to get a handful of her pillows, featuring mod fabrics and upcycled wool sweaters, they are creative and fun...love the little house!

Cheerful Table Runner

My sister-in-law, Katie, made me this for my birthday and I love it!
Not only are handmade gifts always a treat, this table runner has added a colorful, cheerful touch to our home when it's needed most -- during our yucky inversion-grey days. This table runner may just be the thing that gets me through a few more months of the winter blahs....

It features a variety of fabrics that all look great together... there's even a few shades of blue that play perfectly off our old church pew and the vintage metal colander. When spring gets closer, the runner will especially look good with my faux cherry blossoms in a weathered vase.
